Jimmy Gonzalez | Investment Advisor | Gables Family Office

Jimmy Gonzalez, CRPC®

Founder & Capital Architect

Jimmy Gonzalez spent 25 years inside the machine — and then did what his clients do. He walked away and built something of his own.

His career began at Merrill Lynch in 2000, followed by Morgan Stanley & AG Edwards, before joining Charles Schwab as a Vice President in 2008. Across four of Wall Street's most recognized institutions, he gained deep expertise in portfolio construction, risk management, and serving high-net-worth investors at scale.

But in 2015, he stopped advising entrepreneurs and became one.

Jimmy left wall street to found his own registered investment advisory firm, where he spent nearly a decade building a practice focused on ultra-high-net-worth families. When he exited the firm in 2025, his most valued client relationships chose to follow him. That trust became the foundation of Gables Family Office.

GFO operates within the platform of Belpointe Asset Management, an $8 billion RIA, giving clients the rare combination of private family office intimacy backed by institutional-grade infrastructure. It's a structure Jimmy designed deliberately — because he believes the wealthiest entrepreneurs deserve better than fragmented advice from advisors who've never built anything themselves.

He calls the hidden cost of that fragmentation the Unmanaged Complexity Tax — and eliminating it is GFO's reason for existing.

Jimmy isn't just a Capital Architect for other entrepreneurs. He's one himself. He is the co-founder and CFO of FIG (Florida Independent Grocers), a grocery investment group based in South Florida. He doesn't advise from the sidelines. He builds alongside his clients.

A lifelong Miamian and member of The Golden Canes Society at the University of Miami, Jimmy lives in Coral Gables with his wife Diane and their two dogs, Pepper and Ziggy.
